In this fantasy AU, Zelda is an alchemist hunter. She finds and harvests magical ingredients. (Think... catching a frog in botw, and her fascination with ingredients and their effects.) She also has light magic. Link is a new apprentice to a witch in a nearby village. (He's sort of a mix of Twilight Princess Link, and my own blend of Wild.) First person PoV, Zelda's perspective. Fantasy/Magic Zelink AU, set in my original world. So I can sorta still feel like I'm working on my originals but still getting that sweet zelink I miss writing. Of freaking course it's a romance! Soon, seventeen-year old Zelda will be forced to marry if she cannot make her decision on her own. She must follow the Royal Law, one which her father strictly enforces. She must chose one suitor to take over the kingdom and rule alongside her. 1. The suitor must come from a royal bloodline. 2. The suitor must be an ally of Hyrule. 3. If the royal does not choose his/her suitor in a time span decided by the King or Queen, they must be forced to marry the King or Queen's ideal suitor. Time quickly running out, Zelda realizes she does not want to marry someone that only cares about inheriting the throne. She wishes to marry for happiness. And if she cannot prove herself and her happiness to her father soon enough, she will be forever forced into a life she does not want to live. More pressure is added with the recurring topic of duties especially when Zelda finally let's loose of the kings standards and expectations-- especially when spending time with Link... who somehow has more in common with her than she thinks, despite him not saying a word. He remains a mystery to her. A mystery she hoped to solve as she slowly gets closer to him. °•○•○●° But as they open up and spend more time together, will the initial clash develop into Romance? Or will this be unacceptable since boundaries certainly exist-- especially with the rising expectation of marriage for Zelda. And more importantly- will he ever talk?
