[Completed] Elysia's life is turned upside-down when she's abducted by supernatural creatures with demonic eyes and threatening fangs. What's worse is she has no idea what it is they want from her, except that it has something to do with a side of her that she's never known. The chances of Elysia getting out alive are slim, but perhaps with a bit of luck and a lot of bravery she can escape with more than just her life. Excerpt: ''What trick is this?'' The creature asked, but it didn't sound like a vicious question. He sounded... confused. When I didn't answer, he appeared in front of me, snatching my face in his hand once more and growling. ''What is that on your back?'' ''I don't know,'' I blindly answered, but corrected myself quickly when his grip tightened dangerously, ''It's a birth mark, the doctors called it a... a Lichtenberg figure. My mother said I was born with it, I swear it, even though it's usually what happens when you survive being struck-'' ''-by lightning.'' *This is a sequel to Toy Soldiers* It didn't surprise me when I got caught by a third party while I was on the run. They tied me up and put a hood over my head; I lost my sense of direction somewhere along the way. When we reached our destination, it was very cold. They held me a hundred feet up above a sparkling blue ocean, covered in frost, and they asked me who I was. At first, I had nothing to say. And then I smiled, and I told them, "My name is Caitie Alastair, and I'm going to watch the world burn." They pushed me off the edge, and I fell through the frigid air, falling toward thin ice, thinking about a boy I once knew. And then the world went cold.

On my first day of high school, they tested our abilities-they wanted to see who would outlast the others, and who would be outlasted. For hours and hours, we gave it all we had. When they came back into the room to give us our scores, we were put into two groups: the ones to be trained as infiltrative spies, and the others to be trained as assassins. I was picked to be an assassin, and later, when the members of my group turned to face the man who would mentor us, I watched as a slow, wicked smirk spread across his face. He looked at us, and he said, "Game on." This man was Shawn Masterson, and this man was a murderer.

Ranked #1 in Action, #1 Adventure, #2 in Sci Fi "Whatever you do, don't let your blood run cold." "And if it does?" "Run. Run like hell. Run away from everyone you ever cared about." +++++++++++++ Jessie Daniels is just like you. She uses reading as an escape from her average, bookworm life. She envies and wishes for adventure and romance from the heroes in stories. But what she doesn't realize is that her wish is already granted before birth. Her parents, known as the country's best cops, aren't who they say they are. Suddenly, a simple game turns into Earth's greatest heart-stopping battle between two of the world's most dangerous men. Both are ruthless gang leaders who each rule a dominant continent: Asia and North America, and stop at nothing to get what they want. And they want Jessie Daniels. Not for her money, not for her looks, but for what she has. For what she is. --- "Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes. . . the ones who see things differently---they're not fond of rules. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them, because they change things." -Steve Jobs
