(Kellic) After an unimaginable tragedy leaves his family devastated, Vic Fuentes is forcibly admitted to J. Greenwood State Mental facility. With stone walls carefully built around his heart and deepest secrets he will never tell, he is trying to survive the war of abysmal hatred he feels toward himself and everyone around him. In a constant fight between mind and matter, he is struggling to stay in touch with reality. Even if it is against his will, he finally meets someone who begins to make him realize, everyone is their own kind of crazy. Vic Fuentes never thought anything bad would happen to him. He had a pretty decent life; star-player of the soccer team at his high school, good grades, girls swooning over him. Vic never really took danger precautions seriously. One drunken night, he’s dared to go into the woods alone in the middle of the night while drunk to sleep there. That’s the night when his mindset about danger changed. Kellin Quinn-Bostwick was always the loner boy. His life was as low as someone’s life could get; abusive parents, bad grades, no friends. He was also openly gay. People never tried to tease him or taunt him about it; or about anything, for that matter. Everyone knew Kellin could kill–literally. He watches Vic and his drunken friends near the woods and decides, without thinking, how to ruin their night. He doesn’t know it yet, but Kellin only made Vic’s night better. Vic’s over-active imagination pictures Kellin everywhere he goes, until one day, he actually is with him. When Kellin escapes from prison, he, Mike, Ari, Tay, Zack, and Vic run away.
