Alexis Cullen is the biological daughter of Carlisle Cullen. At one point, before he met Esme, he was in love with a human and ended up marrying her. They ended up conceiving a child. He didn't know how this was possible since he was a vampire. While his wife was pregnant, he noticed that the baby grew faster than a normal baby. Alexis was born in 1864. Her mother died during childbirth. A few days after he brought Alexis home, Carlisle noticed that she growing at and exceeding rate. He was intrigued by this and took notes on her. She is half human half vampire. Because of this, she has two abilities, unlike most vampires. She has the ability of self-control, like her father. She can control herself around humans.
