Karl Jacobs is an innocent man who's grown up in the overworld, banned from going through the "portal to hell" as his parents called it. Sapnap is a demon in hiding. He was born in the underworld, known to him as the Nether. When he was eight he was saved by a wandering boy who found him interesting. He went by the name of Dream.
