"you have no idea who i am, do you?" - It's only been three weeks since Vera Watson and her father moved to Goldhurst Lighthouse. She's trying her best to settle in, but it's hard when they're the only non-white family living on the property. And to make matters worse, she's never worked at a lighthouse before. But when a storm rolls in--the first one Vera will experience since moving here--everything changes. In the middle of the raging tempest, Vera finds a strange girl by the rocky shore. *entry for ONC 2021* prompt thirty-three: when a loved one dies, the person is lost. until, they find a jar of fortune notes which leads them to read each one every day. how does the journey start and end? ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ Milana Fallaci doesn't believe in love. After the death of her mother and the heartbreak left by her ex-boyfriend, she has struggled to get herself back up on her feet. Connections of the emotion, love, is something she doesn't want to relearn and she wants to ignore the whole meaning of it as much as possible.
