He's always known they didn't really care. After all, who would care about someone like him. Even so, he didn't think they would take things that far. He had overheard them discussing his approaching death. They planned on him dying during his fight with Voldemort, and them taking is fame and fortune. They had already begun draining his vaults. They have been feeding him love potions to make him fall in love with Ginny so she would inherit everything when he died. Dumbledore has put him with the Dursley's in hopes he would be abused and come to Hogwarts eager to please the one who 'saved' him. When he was beaten nearly to death the summer after his fifth year by his uncle, he escaped and went to the house on Spinners End he had heard of only briefly during a conversation with Sirius earlier that year. He knew that the man would be the only one to not report straight back to either Dumbledore, or Voldemort. The man was completely unaware of his true relation to the boy, and he planned to keep it that way. He didn't plan to stick around long anyway, just long enough to get to safety. Things weren't supposed to turn out like this, but things tend to get out of control for the boy who lived, and he didn't know where else to go. He was tired of the lies and secrets kept hidden from him by those who he had wanted to trust, but knew deep within that he would never be able to, all but for a few of them. Yet those same lies and secrets were not so well hidden that he couldn't find them; much to other's detriment and plans for him. He was tired of being someone who was expected to do as he was told without question and tired of not being able to be himself. When tired of all this, backed into a corner without too many options, and an opportunity presents itself...Would you take it? Even if you know that this decision might make you out to be a villain in the eyes of many others? A choice is something we can control as we make it, but we cannot always control the outcome of what that decision does to others. How would you respond to such a decision?
