It took over her body. She felt it pump through her entire bloodstream in an instant, calming her. She didn't care that she won the War, she didn't care that her friends had good jobs that paid well and had families, she didn't care that Ron fell out of love with her because she developed a substance addiction, she didn't care that she was left alone to bask in the post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms that came after war. She was happy for her friends. Except they had left her. Left her alone to deal with everything.
No, no. She wasn't alone. She was okay. She had what was currently pumping through her veins; whatever it was. The guy beside her placed it on her tongue and eagerly commanded her to swallowed it.
"Granger?" A voice said.
A silence followed after. Fuck, wasn't that her name? She lifted her head off the brick and tried to focus on the figure that stood before her.
"M-my name is... that."
