MC and Jake Oneshots

Three years after the Duskwood tragedy... is it tragedy though? Or more like one of those memories which leaving the bittersweet after-taste in your life? Living the ordinary life without the hackerboy seems the best option so far, or you want the universe to pull you back and drown in the unknown and bizarre event like what happened in three years ago?

Finally getting around to sharing my one-shot collection, originally posted to my tumblr. These were written sporadically over the past two years, most of them were between episodes. I hope you enjoy them! :)

Infiltrator MC and Jake are working on a case for a client, but have reached a stalemate. The CEO of a major corporation is corrupt and they know it, but they just can't find the evidence they need to take him down as none of it is stored digitally. While Jake works on finding a solution, MC decides to try a more basic approach to get the physical evidence they need. Send in the Clowns MC and Jake are yet again stumped by a hard to reach target, but thankfully his son is having a large birthday party with all his friends from school and he requested clowns. This time, MC will have to call upon the help of others to get the job done.

Post episode 10, and picks up immediately after the end of the game. This is going to be a slow burn featuring Jake x f!MC. It is going to be as faithful as I can make it to the events of the game, which also means taking as realistic an approach as possible to the psychological ramifications of what happened to each of the characters. So this won't be a fluff piece, but neither will it wallow in its own misery. It just won't make light of, or be cavalier to, the tremendous trauma that the characters have endured throughout the game. I have tried quite hard to ensure that there is as little immersion loss as possible with my version of the f!MC, so it is my hope that you will be able to have her be whomever she is in your head (to a degree). The MC's name will never be said as I personally find that even using the titular MC or y/n is still jarring, and I will try to keep descriptions of her to as generic a feel as possible without inadvertently causing said immersion loss as it makes you wonder what Jake ever saw in such a basic bitch. The descriptions of Jake have been lifted from what little information we are given in game about him, with a little artistic liberty to describe how I see him in my mind's eye. Because I love my boy Jake and there is no way that I can write a story about him without describing the fuck out of him. Submitted for your approval. I hope that you enjoy.

After the mine incident, Jake turns himself in. The criminal organisation that's after Jake is still operational and threatening Jo. Six years after their goodbye, they both decide to fight for their fate and chaos ensues.
