Based on ben_brainards series 'Welcome to the Statehouse'😼 I'm probably only gonna do one chapter

A small series of key points for California and Texas as they morph from barely tolerating each other, to lovers. Each chapter is its own bubble of time but all chapters are within the same timeframe. (Basically this means it's not a steady constant flow of time, it's just glimpses.) A quick warning, there is some of what could be perhaps taken as internalized homophobic struggles (but not homophobia towards others) Also in my headcanon, in the Statehouse none of the States actually hate California, but they poke and tease at him because they don't realize that he genuinely thinks they hate him. As such, California has may have some darker thoughts due to his mental health.

Even though he was scared to admit it, Texas was scared of his soulmate mark. He was scared of who's would match. He was scared it would be someone he is not supposed to love. When he finds out California is his soulmate what can he do, he is not supposed to love him. Based off of Ben Brainards Statehouse and The Table sieries. I don't own the Charactures just the plot. Ben please don't read this.

A book for writing prompts focused on the Statehouse.

Now I hate this trope with a burning passion but God damn it's a good idea. California finally runs away from the statehouse, thinking it'd be better that way. He gets in a horrible accident, andd his memory is wiped. He is soon returned to the statehouse, to find a bunch of the sweetest people mourning a friend (him). Can the others handle the guilt of being responsible for this? and what happens when Cali starts regaining his memory?
