Merida finds Hiccup in her kitchen, bruised and cut. Her family heals him and lets him work at the castle, even though he doesn't remember where he came from or who he is. Hiccup only remembers his name. Can Merida help him remember, and will they find love?

Merida the daughter of the town's mayor, likes seeking adventure but she soon longs for something more... something more magical and can't help but feel there's something out there for her. She decides to seek it and try to ignore her parents plans of marriage, not accepting the idea of love. Until one day her father goes off to a meeting in the neighboring town and does not return back and the town becomes worried, Merida soon offers to look for her father but this twist of fate changes her views of falling in love as she stumbles against something far more magical than she had ever wished.
