Based on the hit broadway musical NEWSIES. The infamous Delancey brothers were more than brass knuckles and cold eyes. There was a story behind every scar and bitter word spoken. Nobody ever cared enough to find out their story, until now. It's a story of love and hate, good and evil, and about the struggle between who they are and who they want to be.

Declan laughed out loud, looking over from where he sat lazily in a chair. "Andrew can't sing, but he's an amazing actor, that's why he got Teddy Roosevelt and Nunzio," he commented. "And cause they were down an oldsie," Jesse muttered as he watched. Mr. Miller nodded, pointing to him. Andrew gasped in mock offense. "I can too!" he exclaimed. Andrew tried to sing, purposely singing off-pitch and flat. The other members of the group laughed. Aurora pat his back as she giggled. "Guys, we're making Andrew nervous," she told them. "Oh no." She heard Jeremy fake worry. He was being extremely sarcastic. Reagan smirked, her arms crossed. "It's good practice," she responded. "Nunzio is a very hard role." She laughed. Snickering, Declan nodded. Andrew rolled his eyes, up down at Aurora, who stood next to his chair. "They're so mean to me, Belle," he told her. Aurora giggled as she pat his head. Davey Jacobs was the new kid. And boy, did he hate being the new kid. His whole life, Davey had gone to private school but now, since his father hurt his leg at work, he had to go to a public school. A public school, where he would have no friends. That is, until he meets Jack Kelly and his group of friends, dubbed the 'Newsies' due to their work selling the school newspaper and working on the school news team. Suddenly, Davey isn't so lonely anymore.

"Race, what's goin' on? Where 'ave ya been?" Crutchie asked, eyeing the boy with worry. Race ignored him and continued limping to the stairs. "Race, get back over here. Crutch and I stayed up waitin' for ya, the least you can do is tell us where youse been." "I'm fine," Race mumbled, not stopping. Jack quickly stepped forward and grabbed the younger boy's arm, not missing the way he tensed up. "C'mon Race, look at me. What's wrong?" Race slowly turned around, keeping his eyes down with the brim of his hat casting a shadow across his face. "I just had a run-in with a couple of guys who were lookin' for a fight. I got a little beat up. Really, it's nothin'." "It's not 'nothing' Race. You're walkin' worse than I do!" Crutchie exclaimed. Jack grabbed Race's chin and tipped it up and Crutchie gasped. Jack's eyes widened too as he and Crutchie got a glimpse of their brother's face. Crutchie's face turned red with anger, his hand clenching his crutch tightly. "Who did this to you?" *** It's a month after the strike, and everything is going great... until it's not. It starts with small arguments with newsies from the other boroughs, and only gets worse. None of the boys know whats going on, but they're trying to ignore it, until one day something happens that none of them can ignore. A/N: Sorry about the sucky summary, I'm bad at writing those.
