Kokichi heard a couple of costumers ranting while cleaning the counter of the coffee shop. "Have you heard of Kokichi Ouma? He is such a rat! His drinks might be good, but he is such a dick! I heard he threw a hot beverage to a costumer once! He also lies about situations to the manager!" Shuichi heard in the background, while watering some white Jasmines. In a world where Shuichi Saihara gave up his dream of being a detective to become a florist, and Kokichi Ouma worked at a coffee shop as a part time job. These two meet to confirm if the rumors were true, just to end up madly in love for each other.

Kokichi Ouma is the leader of one of the most wanted organizations in Tokyo known as D.I.C.E; Shuichi Saihara is a young, but very successful detective, who is in charge of finding the boy and send him, including the members of his organization, to jail. Unfortunately, between their encounters, they start developing feelings for each other, making Shuichi's job more difficult. And now here they are, trapped inside of a killing game at the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles. And Kokichi will do anything to make his first crush remember him. Shuichi Saihara wasn't fond of Kokichi Ouma at first, but a killing game trapped in a school with fifteen other people can change someone's mind. A lot. Shuichi Saihara solves cases together with his sister Kyoko Kirigiri. One day he comes across the phantom thief case. He and his sister accepted it, and have their first chase. And well..... let's just pretend that didn't end with Shuichi hanging upside down with a rope around his legs waiting for someone to find him and free him from the thiefs trap. After that fiasco Shuichi is determined to find out who the thief is and put him behind bars. He never would've guessed that this thief would end up stealing his heart.
