It's the story of a young Viking. Actually, he isn't that young anymore. He's 23 years old now. His name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III. 8 years ago, he had to run away from his beloved home Berk because he became best friends with a creature that no Viking should ever become friends with: a dragon. Follow the brave Viking on a journey filled with joy, pain and even love, as he comes back to Berk... quite unexpectedly. 20/07/18: Changed the dialogue format and corrected a few grammatical errors. Hiccup Haddock the third is...to put it bluntly, a useless. While everyone else is out helping in the raids, he's stuck in the forge because he "will cause the least problems" there. He is the runt of the pack, the Fishbone, and the heir to Berk. His father could never be more disappointed in him. The only hope for poor Hiccup, is to kill a dragon. but how? he's so small and they're so big! Well guess what? He shoots down a Night Fury! Yep, he succeeds! He shot down the most feared dragon in History! His inventions aren't all bad! But, what happens when he finally finds the beast and goes to kill it. What happens when he looks into the dragons eyes? What happens when he sees a soul that reflects his own, that looks as frightened as he is? What happens when he cuts the dragon free? what happens when he wins dragon training and has to kill the Nightmare. the answer is, he runs. he runs as far as he can. never to return. - Just to be clear, I do not own the How To Train Your Dragon franchise. Hiccup Haddock III was sick and tired of his life. He was tired of getting pitied glances everywhere he went. He was sick of overhearing conversations about how ashamed his father must feel of him. But all that changed when he was given the privilege to kill a Monstrous Nightmare. He couldn't kill it, though. He wouldn't. He couldn't betray his only friend. The one being that didn't judge him. So he ran away. Ran away from his family and his home. Everyone thought he was dead, but when a mysterious dragon rider comes back to Berk with news, the visit doesn't go very well. The Berkians are Vikings; it's in their nature to be stubborn and they don't take too kindly to strange masked visitors that ride Night Furies. Things only go downhill from there and everything Hiccup thought was stable in his life turns out to be everything but that. _~~~__~~~__~~~__~~~__~~~__ I DO NOT OWN THE CHARACTERS IN THIS BOOK. Hiccup and Toothless are brothers, but don't really look the part. They look completely different, but with Toothless' being a Night Fury, it makes sense Hiccup and Valka were stolen by dragons during a raid. They lived with them for 20 years, and learned to trust them. Toothless and Hiccup bonded like brothers, and flew around the world at night, riding the winds of the twilight. Then, when they meet a girl named Astrid and a dragon named Sky, their world is forever changed.... but when Toothless looses Sky, his life is forever changed a bit more.... P.s.
