Welcome to West Mines,Vermont. A hauntingly beautiful town of cobblestone pavements and museums exhibiting ancient relics. The rich reside yet the poor hides. The town is known for many things; prestige and its timeless beauty yet the last thing the citizens ever expected was the cold brutal murder of the son of an important influential family. Who did it? Who could have done something so vile and so sinister? The answers create a trail that leads up to none other than a tightly knit group of pretentious classic literature enthusiasts and scholars who favor each other's company to anyone else's, shutting themselves off from the rest of the world. However, new members joined the midst, expanding their circle of troubled, wild souls. No one is who they seem. The secrets that everyone holds have sharp edges. The past never stays buried. Trust is nothing but a myth. The thing is about the past, it always surges back with a sweet vengeance. all rights reserved ©wreckeds

"Princess, I know how you feel and it's okay to open up to me. Just let it out and tell someone, please." Connor said, his grey eyes gazing into my own hazel eyes. He moved his hands so they were now holding my face lightly. His thumb gently moving along my cheek bones. "You don't care Connor!" "Oh princess believe me, I care more than you think I do." I took a deep breath, trying to control myself. I tried to hold back my tears and keep a blank face and not let him see any emotions in my hazel eyes. I looked down knowing well that if I looked at him now, he would be able to read me like an open book and figure me out. "I don't want anyone's pity. I have had enough drama in my life. I don't want to drag you or anyone in my fucked up life. I just don't want anyone I care about get hurt. I have had enough share of people getting hurt because of me." I said in a quiet voice with a lump forming in my throat. The tears were now stinging my eyes making my vision blurry. I rapidly blinked my eyes trying to keep my tears at bay and not let him see, how truly broken I was. The tough exterior I had put up for so long, the walls that I had built were slowly crumbling down allowing him to see the broken girl that lay behind those walls. A small tear escaped my eye and fell on his wrist. He pulled me into a hug and that's when all dam broke loose. The tears I tried so hard to keep at away now fell from my eyes like a waterfall. ⚜⚜⚜ Eveline Rose Hudson is teenage girl. She is a badass. Sarcasm is her second language. She knows how to kick some ass. She has her tough façade up not letting anyone see her true self. Connor is a cliché bad boy who is a jerk, he is cocky and gives player vibes. He also has some secrets that only one person knows about. Sparks will be felt. There will be action. Secrets will be revealed. Read the story to find out what happens. Cover created by: @-BLVCK

{WATTY'S 2020 WINNER & EDITOR'S PICK.} Hopeless romantic and aspiring writer Mare Atwood has fallen madly in love with her childhood correspondent. There's only one catch-she doesn't know who he is. When the beaus of Star's Crossing return from boarding school to begin the courting season, Mare is determined to uncover the identity of her writer, flout her family's intentions of orchestrating an advantageous marriage, and procure the life of writing and romance she's always sought. But as in the tales she so adores, it won't be easy. Galas, masquerades, picnics, and hunts-alongside an old friend, a former teacher, and an unlikely ally, Mare delves into an investigation that leaves her torn between three clever, deceptive, and wealthy young bachelors. If Mare can confirm which is her writer and claim his hand before the courting season ends, she'll have her wish: the love of her life, a valuable marriage, and a future of writing romance. But with the eyes of Star's Crossing upon her, a business plot forcing invisible hands, and the unwillingness of her writer to come forward-Mare's future may not end in triumph, but tragedy. Set against the gilded Victorian backdrop of coastal Connecticut and lush with pre-war luxury, fans of Jane Austen, Margaret Mitchell, and Louisa May Alcott are sure to enjoy this lighthearted, lyrical novel of young love, independence, and identity. #1 Literary #1 YA Romance #1 Victorian #1 Lyrical #8 General Fiction
