Everyone who reads Harry Potter or watches the movies know that Lily and James are his parents. But how did he ever get Lily? It was a known fact that Lily hated James and James loved Lily. He was everything she hated about guys: Cocky, arrogant, a pain in the neck, and a troublemaker. But what if there's more than to James than all of that. Lily finds an unlikely friend and that carries a burden heavier than most. Just how long can this friendship truly last before it becomes something more? The year was 1977. The First Wizarding War was really heating up. Tensions are high and danger lurks around every corner. People are making efforts to bright spots in the darkness, but it becomes increasingly difficult as time marches on. The staff of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry are trying their hardest to try to maintain the same air of pure magic, jovial nature, and light. Whether they are fully successful is up for debate. The staff this year, however, will have some help. Lily Evans is entering her seventh year. She's 17 and has a shining future ahead of her. She thinks that her biggest challenges of the year would be her rigorous classwork in preparation for her N.E.W.T. exams, keeping up with her Head Girl duties, and putting up with the Marauders; normal stuff. Little does she know, she couldn't have been more wrong.

You will only receive hurt feelings. 2) Don't ever say that you are better at Quidditch than James Potter. Your life may be at stake. 3) Don't ever steal chocolate from Remus Lupin. He may or may not hit you with his latest textbook. 4) Don't ever insult any of Peter Pettigrew's friends. He will try (and fail) at threatening you. These rules are pinned up in our common room for all to see, and within days of being up, Sirius Black had jokingly added a fifth rule, which he called the 'most important'. 5)Don't ever try and date Lily Evans. That is for James only!!

The end of sixth year is approaching and lily is still trying to deal with her feelings for James. James is still trying to win lily over. But so is Severus. Read as lily James and their friends finish up their time at Hogwarts.
