In this alternate universe there are four kingdoms called The Homelands, the Crystal Lands the Dark lands, and the outlands. Mostly at war. Lapis Lazuli and Peridot Greene did not have what you would call a "friendship." Lapis would use Peridot for homework and cheated off her for test grades and in exchange, Peridot would get protection. They weren't really friends, more like partners. However, after an incorrect ingredient is used in a chemistry class, Lapis starts getting strange feelings for the small nerd. Feelings that extend far beyond friendship.

The last year at Canterlot High brings pressure, plans and a whole lot of feelings Rainbow Dash didn't see coming.
