Carly Brooks, daughter of Herb Brooks, has always dreamed of being a professional hockey player. When her dad gets the job as coach of the 1980 USA hockey team, she finally grasps her opportunity to make her dream come true; Being on a team with her best friend and most of her friends, being coached by her dad, winning the Olympics and showing the world that girls can play hockey. Somewhere along the lines Carly falls in love with one of her teammates as well. Meanwhile, her sister suffers from a horrible heartbreak and the lives of the Brooks family keep going while Herb and Carly are occupied with hockey. But in the end family always finds their way back to each other. This story is based on the Miracle movie but with a female player as the main character. The rights go to the makers of the Miracle movie. I own all the characters that aren't in the movie. I've also gotten some inspiration from Mike Eruzione's book "The Making of a Miracle" which is awesome by the way.
