A pack of thieves ransack a witch's home, stealing her deck of tarot cards. Unbeknownst to them, these tarot cards hold the most infamous criminals ever known. And little do they know what they've unleashed onto the world when these prisoners escape their binds to the cards and scatter across the stars. It'll take a powerful kind of magic and a special kind of witch to find them. Cage is NOT that witch. In fact, she's not exactly a witch at all. She's a Lavender and lives in a world where women are the only ones with magic. With flowers that grow in amongst her curly hair, Cage is dragged into the hunt for the prisoners and must travel across the cosmos with a band of unlikely heroes. A witch of the winds and another of the stars. A boy who has magic when he shouldn't and another with the sun in his blood. Cage learns that the lines between heroes and villains can blur on their journey to stopping something far more evil than any of them could have ever imagined.

I have three secrets. 1. I'm in the witness protection program. I witnessed my mother's murder when I was eight years old, and now the murderer is after me. 2. I can read minds. Or not "read" them... not exactly. But I can feel them. Every emotion has a color. An aura, as I call it. And I can feel those auras. I can feel the color of one's thoughts. 3. I can't feel Elijah Whitney's aura. [ COMPLETED - 1.28.16 ] [ LATEST REVISION - 8.17.19 ] [ SEQUEL COMING FALL 2019 ]

❇️ 2018 WATTYS WINNER! The Originals category ❇️ - "The Breakfast Club" meets "Nancy Drew" in this most unusual YA Mystery. SUMMARY: Five high school students, with little in common other than being descendants of the town founders, are forced to work on a history project together. But when their history project uncovers evidence of a long-buried town secret, the kids must piece together the clues behind their discovery before its legacy comes back to haunt them. ***** Using ACTUAL, archival material (some dating as far back as 1776), The Descendants weaves a tale of mystery and intrigue, constructed entirely from real photographs, documents, and snippets of history from a small, rural town in New Hampshire. What Dan Brown did with conspiracy theories in "The DaVinci Code" and Ransom Riggs did with historical photographs in "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children," I will attempt to do in "The Descendants," but with teen protagonists and the Cheshire County Historical Society. :-) Why? 'Cause I'm crazy like that! Yeah, I know...History?! Blah! But it actually turned out really fun! :-)

Hi y'all. Last year I quit my job, married a Canadian, and uprooted my entire life - old typewriters, vintage costumes and all - to Toronto. We called it our Canadian adventure and we're living in Apartment A, or as we call it, Apartment "Eh?" Collected here are some of my thoughts about the Great White North and I'll be updating regularly with new musings since I'm still adjusting to my newfound home. Follow me on Instagram @zoedinovi for my visual diary and tell me your own tales of 'innocents abroad' in the comments!
