Rebecca Adams has been reading books since before she could walk, or at least her mother was reading them to her until she was able to do it herself. Books are her life, her fantasy world derived from the millions of words she had read over the years and her reality suffered for it. School wasn't quite the place Sweet Valley High made it out to be, the night never revealed the mythical creatures from her Dracula obsession and of course there was never a guy who matched up to her ultimate book boyfriend, Brock McDougal. The main character from the Lyrics to my Heart series had it all and while she didn't think she set her standards too high, hitting twenty two had left her single, practically a virgin and the joke of all her friends. Then something magical happens and Brock enters her life as a living, breathing person – no longer something from her imagination, will Rebecca be sorely disappointed or find a happy ever after? -- Please be aware this story contains the following: adult themes, drug/alcohol references and a bad boy rocker you may just fall in love with too! "I love you, Ashton" I whispered to his sleeping face, being careful so he doesn't hear. Quickly kissing him on the cheek, I run away knowing that he can't know, and he will never know. I'm in love with my bestfriend. "Diana?" Ashton's voice stops me. Tears threaten to fall down, but I push them away. "Yes?" "Could you please call Mel?" He replies. I nod and walk away.

Seventeen year-old Eliza Taylor's latest run-in with New York City Police lands her on a bus with a one way ticket to the small town of Blackwater. Unimpressed with being an indentured servant for her cranky and ridiculously ancient aunt, Eliza soon finds hope when she meets Dante, another of her aunt's employees, as well as Chase, the cute boy-next-door who works at his dad's hardware store. Unfortunately, Eliza's panache for getting into trouble rears its ugly head when she discovers her aunt's shop sells more than just postcards from 1988. Her aunt's "private showroom" houses each of the seven deadly sins: Pride, Envy, Wrath, Avarice, Lust, Gluttony, and Sloth. But stopping her evil aunt from damning the souls of unsuspecting teens has a price - and that price might very well be Eliza's eternal soul. Can Eliza survive her evil aunt, outwit the dark master she serves, and keep a few souls out of Hell, including her own? She's not so sure, but seeing as how she likes her soul in the upright and firmly out-of-hell position, she's gonna give it her best shot. Hopefully her best won't end up killing her and ruining her afterlife - God knows her normal life is hard enough! **Copyrighted Material: Bad Company Copyright © Wendy Nelson 2012 All Rights Reserved. Okie's fifteen. She lives in New York. She's got a few problems: she's failing geography, her dad's a wimp, and her mother, Sumatra, is a stone cold bitch. But things get a lot worse when Sumatra turns into a zombie and eats Okie's dad. Clio, Okie's grandmother, lives in Toronto; but since the zombie apocalypse, Toronto's a lot further away than it used to be. Clio suggests that Okie transport Sumatra across the border, because family is family. But coaching Okie by cellphone isn't easy, and Clio has some zombies of her own to contend with. Luckily she has some garden tools. Naomi Alderman and Margaret Atwood team up for this unusual two-hander. Encompassing love, death, sex, and the meaning of family, The Happy Zombie Sunrise Home will surprise, delight, and convince you of the vital importance of keeping ready supplies of rhubarb and mini-wieners in your freezer at all times. The ghost she sees is her foster sister, Sally. Everyone thinks she's just another runaway. Mattie knows the truth, though-she's dead, murdered. Foster kids look out for each other and Mattie feels like she has to help Sally, but she can't do it alone.
