Book 2 of the Rising Phoenix Trilogy. Cerise has escaped the military base in Italy with Daniel, and Easton, even if something tells her that she made a mistake. That Everard had his reasons for doing what he did. But how can they matter anyway? To make things worse, France has launched itself into war with Italy, Drakhenae against human, and the one thing either of them needs to win is her. The one thing that can break the tie between the two races. Cerise and Daniel go to France, to stop things there before things get out of hand, even if they're heading into the den of the beast. Things only go even more haywire when the Commander starts searching for her, razing entire cities to find the one thing he needs to win the war and end humans once and for all. Everard never cared that everyone pegged him to be the villain. Never cared that he served the Commander, a tyrant, so long as it meant he could save his brother. When he found Cerise, someone with powers and abilities that could save his brother, he thought he found a solution to all his problems. He didn't. Mostly someone who hasn't felt any warmth of the spring...never has once felt what love is. The story of a girl, striving hard to make her way out of the shallowness of this society that was trying to push her down everytime she has her head held high. Do you think she will meet the love of her life? Or will this flower remain untouched by the bliss of love? Busy fighting against the battles of her life. Take a peek into another world of romance of a college boy and a timid yet unapologetically bold school girl.

poetry for the hearts tarnished by love or the sudden death of it. for the hearts that find a soft lullaby in the pages when raw hope is not enough to put the worries to sleep. for the hearts that bleed ink to paint the chalky roses of life red with words--you'll find my own ink here. and i hope you find a harlequin garden in my poetry. sweet lavender. daybreak lilies. sun-kissed dahlias. a poem for every emotion ripping at your soul, begging to be unleashed on paper. this collection has several themes and ideas--find something you like. let's get lost in the tall fields of dawn's first breath and dandelion song, tucking flowers in the forests of our hair. let's get lost in the words and not in the world. for a moment, let your tarnished heart out of its cage, and hold it to your sleeve. wear it proudly as you read. just for a moment. to feel something and let it be shown. there is nothing shameful in having a heart that has dented-in chambers and rust. it has seen the salt cries of the ocean, the metronome kisses of summer rain, the moonlight tears that have dried into scars on cheeks. it's been corroded by the waters, tarnished. it is not afraid. well that was some pretentious shit. i hope you enjoy this collection. love ya <3 more of my works: "poems for you. always for you." is one of my older poetry collections that is slightly cringe but feel free to check it out.
