In Abby Hamilton's world, superheroes do more than just stop crime and save cats stuck in trees - they also drink milk straight from the carton and hog the television remote. Abby's older brother moonlights as the famous Red Comet, but without powers of her own, following in his footsteps has never crossed her mind. That is, until the city's newest vigilante comes bursting into her life. After saving Abby from an attempted mugging, Morriston's fledgling supervillain Iron Phantom convinces her that he's not as evil as everyone says - and that their city is under a vicious new threat. As Abby follows him deeper into their city's darkest secrets, she comes to learn that heroes can't always be trusted, and sometimes it's the good guys who wear black.

**THIRD BOOK IN THE DEAR MY SANITY SERIES** I look down at the grave stone. It was a simple one, polished marble with a name, date of birth and death date. Off to the side is a short song. I sink to the ground in front of her grave. "Hey," I begin awkwardly. I've never visited or spoken to a dead person. "It's me. Jeff. I don't really know why I decided to visit. It just felt like something I needed to do. "Uhm, I just . . . Wanted to say thank you. For your amazing daughter. You know, I only met you once but you never said anything bad about me or told Jamie she should leave me. You always convinced her to give me another chance. I never realized how much I actually owe to you. But, it's too late now. The only thing I can do now is keep my promise. I'll take good care of Jamie. I love her. She means everything to me. "Thank you." With that, I get up and leave. ~*~*~

"Watch where you’re going nerd!" Someone said knocking me down, while sending my books flying. I let out a sigh as I crouched down, collecting my books from the floor. Once I got up I saw the person who called me nerd a few seconds ago was standing in front of me wearing a smug expression. "What's wrong nerd? Cat got your tongue?" I looked around the hallway, noticing that we’ve drawn a crowd. "What are you mute?" I rolled my eyes as I began to walk away, only to be pulled back and slammed against the lockers. I heard a few gasps coming from our audience. He seemed like a jerk, and judging by what he had just done, I was right. However, he was extremely good looking I had to give him that, with dark brown hair seemed sticking out in all directions and dark brown eyes. "Listen nerd, I don't know who you think you are but no one walks away from me when I talk to them. Got it?" He hissed at me. I let out a chuckle. This guy was unbelievable. "You don't own me, so I suggest you let go of me before I do something that you will regret." I said in a bored tone. His brown eyes narrowed at me, as he let out what seems to be a forced out laugh. "Oh, so the nerd does talk." I heard a few people snickering as he let go of my arm. "I am going to let you go, nerd. But, trust me this isn't over." He whispered into my ear. * Alice "Ali" Montclair has a secret she's the daughter of the man who runs the country- The President. **SECOND BOOK IN THE Dear My Sanity SERIES** "That explains a lot." "I bet it does." The mask prevents me from seeing her face but I can just tell she is smiling at me; at my misery. It makes me want to tear her apart limb from limb. But, I restrain myself. It would do me no good to waste energy with her. I got the information I wanted and now I have to go. My mom needs me. "Is that all?" I growl, smacking her hand away. "Yes, it is." "Good," And then I punch her in the face. ~*~*~

*FIRST BOOK IN THE Dear My Sanity SERIES* "Look at your hands. Their blood is on your hands." Jamie stares at her blood covered hands. She clenches her jaw, a muffled scream coming from her. I let her scream but I look around, knowing the police would come soon. If she wants to avoid being caught, she needs to get over her little crisis already. "Get up," I say quickly, going over and grabbing onto her arm to pull her up. "Come on, the police will be coming soon. You're not going to jail." She struggles against me, screaming, "No! You're going to kill me if I go with you." "This all can be erased," I insisted. The wailing of sirens tells me I need to convince her quickly. Jamie pauses, thinking hard. "Fine," she says. "Let's go then." I say no more as I run. She picks up my pace and follows me as I lead her away from her first murders and into her new life. I think it's one she'll fit well into.
