Maar dat was niet het enige dag gebeurt was toen. Toen Mia even niet aan het kijken was, liep ze door het slagveld heen en werd ze geraakt door de krachten van Doctor Strange en Scarlet Witch. Meestal ben je meteen dood, maar bij Mia was dat niet gebeurt. Integendeel ze kreeg er zelfs krachten door. Omdat je geen ouders meer had en je ook niet wist hoe ze met die krachten moest omgaan, mocht ze vanaf toen bij de Avengers wonen. In het geheim want ze wouden dat Mia wel een doodnormaal leven had. Dit is ook de reden waarom ze hebben afgesproken dat Mia pas een Avenger mocht worden op haar 17de verjaardag, die toevallig binnen een paar maanden was. Peter was de enige die dit allemaal wist.
