A series of one shots and chapters from my original Hao Mei/KO fanfiction "Beyond a Beautiful Smile". These are the chapters that have been set to private within the other story because of mature content (which doesn't fit with the rating of the original novel or series). I'm not going to include A/N: from the original chapters so you will have to either read them as standalone or also read the other story to see how they fit together.

One year after Nai-Weiwei's wedding, Mei & KO find themselves still living together. After 3 years as roommates there is something everyone seems to know...everyone but Mei that is. Fed up with the lack of progress, Nai takes matters into his own hands & sends the pair off on a "business" trip in the hopes they finally reach an understanding. Will the pair go along so easy?

A story built on Gu Man's Just One Smile is Alluring and the subsequent BL outtakes she did for our KO and Hao Mei. Both novel and drama elements have been used to build on and construct this story. (When I heard that the story was being adapted into a drama I was super excited. Due to Chinese censors, we didn't get KO and Hao Mei's happily ever after, although we got a lot more than I'm sure many fans had hoped for. I loved Zhang Bin Bin and Zheng Yecheng's portrayals of KO and Hao Mei, respectively. They made these characters come alive even within their very limited screen time. Even so, I still thirsted for their happily ever after on screen. I began re-reading their outtakes, reorganizing them in my mind so that the scenes made the most chronological/narrative sense. But I still wanted more of KO and Hao Mei.) And so, this fanfic was born. I am going to be building on the outtakes and drama, and add in additional chapters on KO's origins, his interactions with Hao Mei in the game, and build on their love story. Since I am building on the story, I will point you to the links where you can read the translation before/after reading the parts I have written. A Hao Mei and KO fan fiction based on both the novel and the series; "Love O2O / Just One Smile is Very Alluring"; novel by Gu Man and series directed by Lin Yufen. I will also be referencing "Lets eat, Shan Shan" also by Gu Man. I'm challenging myself to include dialogue and events from the series and try and meld them with my own writing. Fingers crossed! A year after the events at Guanyin Temple, the cultivation world hasn't changed much.
