Arthur and Merlin become separated at the Valley of the Fallen Kings. Merlin fears he may never see his King again; meanwhile, Arthur makes discoveries of his own. Takes place in between Seasons 4 and 5.

(I don't own the show Merlin) Merlin and Arthur find themselves on a mission to capture a wanted sorcerer, not aware of the danger they will be finding themselves in.

"You are accused of sorcery. By the laws of Camelot, I hereby sentence you to death," the king's voice was cold, and quite frankly, bored, as he sentenced yet another sorcerer to die by the pyre... ..."He's not really Merlin, he doesn't really have magic! If you kill him you'll make a huge mistake!"... ...The crown prince of Camelot would be burned at the pyre by his own father. For conjuring harmless butterflies. By accident. And no one would ever even know that Arthur would really be dead...

Merlin's walking past the lake of Avalon. It's the 21st century and he's hundreds of years old, but looks about 25. He stops and gazes at the lake, eyes heavy with all he'd seen in this world, his bright smile long gone, his happiness taken away long time ago in this very spot, perhaps permanently. He returns his gaze back to the road ahead and is about to walk away, but suddenly feels the urge to turn his eyes towards the lake, glimmering in the evening sun, once more... I do not own Merlin, any of the characters or the pictures, just the story.

Modern AU Merlin Merlin lives in a small city with his mother Hunith. But after a family friend offers Merlin a scholarship at the school he works at as a teacher Merlins life changes completely. Gwaine kept thinking and realized that he knew very little about Merlin while, Merlin knew almost everything about every knight, servant, noble, everyone of Camelot it seemed. Gwaine decide to brush it off but,little did he know that was the biggest mistake of his life. What happens when strange knights come to Camelot only for Merlin to go missing the next day. What has happened to the so called clumsy servant, Merlin and who played a part in it?
