Our lives... Our home... Our rebellion has been thrown into chaos. Nor has been left severely injured by Nills. Clancy's been taken by Nico. The Banditos are being hunted across Trench. Hope is scarce and hard to find in this time. The Neon Gravestones only seem to grow in numbers. Without our symbol of hope, things only become more dire by the day. There is still hope to be found though. There is still a cycle to be broken. There are still fires being lit. There are still things worth living for. Always.

SEQUAL TO "SNOW ON THE ROAD." Emerson Augustine is no longer the aimless college student she once was, but life still isn't playing fair. At 21, she got out of an abusive relationship, fell in love her one of her closest friends, and started her dream job as the touring manager for Twenty One Pilots. But now, even with it seeming like she has the perfect life, she's finding she's feeling that familiar frigid feeling she still remembers so clearly from the blizzard 4 years ago. Tyler Joseph is no longer just a small independent musician, praying that his dreams come true, now he's a signed and known artist with a growing and excited fanbase who wants to see his band and get more music. The young couple find themselves struggling as Tyler tours none stop, while struggling to keep a firm grip on his insecurities, and Emerson ends up finding herself caught up in issues with family and a secret she doesn't know if she should be keeping. The two have to take a moment and really look at life and decide if staying together is really the best option for both of them. When Gaby transfers to a new school in the middle of senior year, she doesn't expect to fall into the orbit of Tyler and Josh-two best friends bound by music, secrets, and a past that's heavier than it seems. As Gaby gets closer to them-and to Tyler in particular-walls begin to crack, truths unravel, and hearts start to open in the most unexpected ways. This is a story about finding connection in the chaos, about falling in love when everything hurts, and about learning to stay when running feels easier. ;; i'd like to warn you about several topics that this story touches, such as selfharm, depression, anxiety and suicide. If this triggers you, please do not read this story or proceed with caution as there are no trigger warnings at the beginnings of chapters.

"I have spent more of my life with her than without. I know there will be a day that scale shifts the other way. Nevertheless, today is not that day." As a young kid, my parents took me to an animal shelter so we could pick out two kittens to become our family pets. There, a black runt who the staff weren't sure would survive, yelled at me until I chose her. Once home, that same kitten made it known that she had no interest in anyone but me, and I felt much the same about her. In such a lonely life, how lucky am I to have such a bond? Twenty one years later, the death I have feared most has come and gone only recently. Now what am I left with? "Mortality knows not what it takes. The Reaper knows not the value of what he carries from me..."
