Months after the escape of the so called 'soul knights' the young ninja Cole is still plagued by nightmares and has a rough time dealing with what had happened. His boyfriend Kai is getting even more worried once he and the rest of the ninja team finds out, that these are not normal dreams. In his visions the former master of earth sees mountains, tunnels and whole buildings under water and three artifacts are seeming to be connected with this, but they've gotten lost over time. Too late they notice, that the soul knights have found another way to find their creator, free him and get their revenge on the elemental masters. Kai has newly discovered feelings for his teammate, but fears rejection if confronted. As the two stick it out, they grow apart just to run back to each other's arms, but still won't admit to liking the other. So Sensei Wu had the ninja take care of a infestation of these bugs and made sure they knew not to get bit. But things never go their way and Kai got bit because he got tripped and before any of the ninja realize what was wrong Kai started hugging and flirting with Cole the weirdest part though Cole liked it.

Cole has been having nightmares for weeks, and one fateful morning they come true. The long-lost god of sleep, Hypnos, has risen from his slumber and is threatening the peace of Nnjago city. Okay, sure this is a rewrite of the original and the love interest will be Cole, but don't let that stop you from reading. Your journey will not be primarily focus on love but adventure. When you enter the world of Ninjago, you'll create bonds, established a family dynamic, laugh, cry, and will be saying 'wait wait wait...Play that again' As your author, I'll try my best to make you feel some sort of emotion while reading this (hopefully not any harmful negative emotions.
