It's a few years after the war, and Harry Potter is sick of his fame. He gets a chance for a new start in the muggle world , but fate isn't always on the same page...

Draco Malfoy is bored out of his mind in his eighth year at Hogwarts. After a prank gone wrong, he discovers that Harry's life isn't really that much better than his own. As they try to keep their friends from realizing that they've somehow swapped minds, they find it's easier to spend time together. Becoming friends comes naturally. But are their friends really as fooled as they believe? Complete at 5 chapters; will post a chapter a day all this week as a birthday present to myself.

This is a rewritten and expanded story based on the earlier one-shot of the same name, which has now been renamed Tide & Surf, to reduce confusion. It now includes drarry, and follows Harry's journey from the end of his relationship with Ginny to the beginning of his relationship with Draco. :-) Summary: After a lifetime of war, Harry searches for something he can't quite define. His journey takes him all the way to Northern California, to the rocky shore of the Pacific Coast, where he finds what he was searching for - if not what he expected. A story of endings and beginnings, of loss and letting go and moving on. Of the pull of gentle hope and despair, and a quiet, bone-deep strength. Of peace. Notes: An odd little story; a love letter to the place I live, and a testament to how the power of the ocean and the trees can heal the heart and soul. Told through Harry's eyes, beginning with the end of Hinny and ending with the beginning of drarry, because I love drarry nearly as much as I love where I live.

A mysterious banner shows up in the Great Hall, sending the castle into a furor of speculation. What is it? Why is it there? What do the tally marks that keep appearing on it mean? What does 'DM' stand for? Pansy is irritated. Hermione is exasperated. Ron is oblivious. Draco is annoyed. Harry is smug. Will the eighth years solve this new riddle?

Harry Potter is a little bit confused and a lot in denial. And even more an idiot. Luckily, the truth hits him like a ton of bricks (with a little help from Pansy) before his entire 8th year is ruined. Or, Harry Potter is in love with Draco Malfoy, and he really thinks this should bother people more than it does. I wrote this entirely by accident, when I was meant to be writing something completely different. In any case, hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
