Thousands of years ago, a meteor came crashing down in the savannah. Its shockwave blasted a hole in the earth, digging all the way down to bedrock. When it hit the immovable stone, the shockwave opened up a massive cave, yet the surface above remained stable. When the meteor touched down, it didn't just leave a crater; at the point of contact, there was a single sapling - one that had never been seen in this world before. With no water and limited sunlight, the plant began to wither. An outlaw who had fled to the cave accidentally discovered the struggling sapling, thinking it might be valuable. She tried to take it for trade, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't. It was warm - almost alive. She had been on the run her whole life, yet for the first time, she felt at home. After failing to take the sapling multiple times, she left and returned to her work, but she felt an undeniable pull back to the little tree. Each time she returned, her care for it grew, and the sapling began to thrive. Soon, the outlaw spent longer and longer in its presence. As the years passed, the cave became a home, and the tree became less like any ordinary plant. It never produced leaves, yet it always seemed alive; its branches began to glow as they reached toward the sun, spreading energy throughout the cave. Its warmth beckoned wanderers, and from this place, the civilization of Ursuraas was born.
