One of the famous instances in the show was when Naina heard a new guy in school, singing this song in the canteen. Gripped by a desire to bag Juliet's role in the school drama, she embarks upon a quest to unearth the meaning of this song, by asking her friends and acquaintances. Her aunt though overhears her and overcome with rage, slaps her then and there. Poor Naina is still in the dark, but since then, has not been able to muster the courage to ask the meaning of the lyrics to anyone. Till that monsoon evening tea with her boyfriend- Sameer Maheshwari. The same guy who'd been singing the song that day itself. As the radio croons the song yet again, Sameer spurts out his tea, as he discovers Naina doesn't understand those lyrics. How would Sameer make his innocent girlfriend understand the sensual meaning of this song, considering he hasn't even gathered the courage to hold her in his arms as yet?

Opposites attract! It was meant to be! A vengeful bet paved the path for a unique friendship and ultimately love! My version of how the school trip to Mount Abu shaped Naina and Sameer's relationship, triggered the revelation of the bet and Sameer's attempts to win back Naina in his life. And of course, their blossoming love story! This story explores the characters true to their portrayal in the show and attempts to highlight the beauty of their undying, true love.

Sameer is a flamboyant, rich and supposedly spoilt brat. Naina is the quintessential good girl. The story is set in the 90s. But what if the same story had a twist? What if the characters acted as we'd never expected them to? What if school was just a stage-setter and their story began when they moved away from the confines of their home, to a college in Mumbai? Naina had been smitten by him since day one, but seemingly decided against loving a depraved boy like him. Of course because he smokes, he drinks incessantly, he's rude, he's arrogant and supposedly a womanizer. Sameer can't stand her- the teacher's pet, the one responsible for falsely accusing him of theft in school, and leaving him bereft of his mother's presence in life. Yet his eyes always seem to wander over to her, to explore her, and when another of their classmates- Sanjay Tibrewal enters, Sameer is visibly piqued at his proximity with Naina. What if destiny decides to bring them closer? How would their bitter-sweet relationship turn out? Would Naina and Sameer fall in love with each other as was expected? This was my first attempt at a SS (Short Story). I had started this as an OS wanting to focus on some romance and heart to heart conversations between Samaina, but later decided to turn it into a 3 Shots Series, based on the positive feedback received for OS and a number of readers expressing a wish to see more of the romance and conversations and of course my own reactions to certain events in the show.

The bonds formed out of love are meant to be the strongest and lovers take them and their right on each other for granted. But, life is not always this straight forward and when the seas get choppy we need something more tangible which can act as an anchor for the relationship. This short story is based on the timeline when Sameer influenced by the evil Dadi had decided he was Manhoos and tried to cut all ties with Naina.

A quick OS based on the Samaina breakup and Naina getting engaged to Sharad track. We all saw a broken girl who seemed to have lost all control over her life.

This can be read as a stand-alone OS, but I feel might be better enjoyed if read after two of my other stories Sameer OS - Walking Away and Naina OS - Gudiya Ki Shaadi. I had writtedn this with the aim to bring hope and positivity to the fandom after weeks of depression, pain and heartache for Sameer, Naina and all of us!
