In Rena's case even though it happened years ago, she still struggles with the trauma endlessly, the only difference is that she had learned how to suppress it. For everyone it may be different, for her it took her forever to trust another guy that wasn't her brother. Then she found something she could be passionate about. Rena Kozume was introduced to volleyball at a young age by her brother's best friend, Kuroo Tetsuro. The girl learns to overcome a lot of obstacles that took her so long due to her past. She never wanted to get close to people and felt like all she ever needed was her brother. She later learns to love the sport and to play it as long as it is pure and everyone tries their best and takes it serious. The Volleyball Club is so much more than just a club to her.
