Sasuke's always craved attention ever since he was just a young child. He was extremely popular in school too, almost everyone wanted him. He didn't care if the persons affection was sincere or not, he just wanted to feel something. He wanted to feel real again, full of emotion. And so thats why he hid himself from the rest of the world, and no ones ever saw ever saw the real him since. Naruto's life was rough, yes, but that didn't stop him from living his life. (Sasuke does call Naruto 'Naru-chan', they're a little easier to put up with each other in this fanfic.)
