When a total stranger knows what eats you, maybe they are your one true love. Even if you don't know it yet. || On Friday the 13th, two twenty-something, Daya and Mike, end up in a mutually beneficial arrangement: she is his caregiver after he breaks his foot; he provides room&board to help her out with a teeny-tiny cash flow problem. Not a whiff of a romance, strictly business. And for a while, all is good... for about five minutes, that is. What can an overweight man, a video game obsessed librarian, know about her quitting a challenging sport of figure skating, Daya scoffs. He needs to get off her case and sort out his binge eating! What does a celery-chewing skating diva care about his failure as a PhD candidate, Mike wonders. She is just replacing her dreams with his non-existing problems instead of pursuing her one true passion! With the two already teetering on the brink of mutually assured destruction, oil splashes onto the flames when Daya resumes her never-ending quest for skating triumph at Canadian Nationals. (Well, that should make Mike happy, right? Right?) But isn't there *something* worth fighting for *together*? Like, you know, love? COMPLETED. First Published: August 19, 2019 Trigger warning: This story contains themes of eating disorders and body image insecurity (male).

🎄 This is the early draft of A Wish with a Bow. The published edition is now available in ebook & paperback on Amazon and other retailers. Callie Ericsson isn't asking for much this Christmas-just a little peace, a drama-free family dinner, and maybe a date who won't vanish before New Year's. Instead, she finds herself juggling her sister's sharp remarks, rejection letters from colleges, and a string of anonymous notes determined to ruin her holiday spirit. The only thing keeping her (mostly) sane? Wrapping gifts at the mall. It's repetitive, sure, but Callie secretly loves knowing she's adding a little extra joy to someone else's Christmas morning. That, and the fact that Brett-the mall's maddeningly charming maintenance guy-keeps showing up at her counter. He's infuriating, unexpectedly sweet, and far too handsome to be interested in someone like her... right? But the holidays have a way of exposing secrets right along with feelings. And when it comes to matters of the heart, Callie might just discover that the best gifts can't be tied up with ribbon.

You know when you were younger and they told you that you could be whoever you wished to be? You could grow up and become whatever you set your mind and heart upon? Yep, well I'm here to tell you that's a complete load of bull. So as I stared across at my fiancé, our hands conjoined as he read his vows- it dawned on me. Getting married at age 23 to a self centered lawyer who viewed me as more of his little prodigé than his actually wife was not what I wanted. Becoming a defense attorney at a record age to a company own by said husband that I'll never be taken seriously in was definitely not what I wanted. And making my parents happy by completely shutting down any hopes and dreams I've ever had. was absolutely not what I wanted. "Nope." I shook my head, glancing between the priest and Jake, my soon-to-be, as I yanked my hands out of his. "W-what?" He stuttered, looking back at me mortified along with everyone else in the chapel. "Fuck this." I shook my head, as I lifted my dress and quickly made my way back down the isle that was littered with people I'd never seen before. So, few hours later and I'm on the first flight to Maine. Why? Well, shit happens. *this book is unedited

"In the end, it's always me who survives." Kakucho had been faced with life-threatening tragedies multiple times in his life. Somehow, he always made it out alive, but not the people he loved who were also involved in the incidents. It was almost as if the world hated him and wanted to punish him. For what exactly, he didn't know. Maybe he did something terrible in his past life, and this current life was a punishment for him. He had been lost in the darkness ever since he lost Izana. He joined Bonten just to find a purpose in his life again. And for the past few years, he had dedicated his life to the gang, no matter what they dealt with. There were things he didn't agree with, but he could never leave them. Bonten was all he had. That was until she showed up in his life. She was the epitome of a walking sunshine. She brought colours to his dull life. While he was all dark and gloomy, everything about her was bright and sunny. He wasn't supposed to keep her in his dangerous life, but how could he push her away when she was the only one capable of making him feel alive? And, for the first time in many years, happy? - "𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱 𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘦, 𝘴𝘦𝘵 𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘺 𝘮𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘐 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘣 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘨𝘰𝘥𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘯 𝘩𝘰𝘵. Mother!!Reader X Baby!!Eustass Kid ═ ∘◦❦◦∘ ══ ∘◦❦◦∘ ══ ∘◦❦◦∘ ══ ∘◦❦◦∘ ═ "Something wrong?" You asked the kid as he stretched his arms towards you. He just continued to stare, but you wanted him to say something. You smirked before slowly walking away. The red-head you adopted was stubborn, really stubborn. Too bad for him because you are more than that. Your entire being stopped when you heard him whining, you glance behind you to see him crawling with fear written all over his face. Your eyes softened at that. "Don't worry kid, I won't leave you." You whispered, gently picking him up. ═ ∘◦❦◦∘ ══ ∘◦❦◦∘ ══ ∘◦❦◦∘ ══ ∘◦❦◦∘ ═ One Piece Fanfic. Modern Time Frame. Disclaimer: Violence.
