Nene Yashiro is a 19 year old loner in Kamome University. She doesn't believe in the term and emotion, "love". She has been known throughout the college to be rejected because of her fat ankles and daikon-like appearance. She hates one person specifically, Yugi Amane. He's more popular than Akane Aoi, or better known as Ao-chan. All of the girls love him so much, they formed a club based on him. People confess, but he truly cares for no girl more than a friend. But, he always had a keen eye for Nene, he thought she'd be a cool person. The life of being popular is so boring now, he wants to help, so he chose Nene Yashiro to help her believe in love. Amane Yugi hides behind a mask. He was friendly and kind to everyone. Though, his kindness had a limit, and no one was to go beyond that. He smiles, but behind that was a frown. He laughs, trying to bury the cry that was hidden beneath. Throughout his time in highschool, he had made aquaintances, none were really that close to become his friend. Until one girl decides that she would pull off his mask. Nene Yashiro and Amane Yugi were the best-est friends in the whole wide world. Nothing could separate them. That was until Nene and her parents moved to the USA for her dad's job. Before she left, she gave him a rocket ship keychain, as she pulled out a moon keychain out of her pocket. "Look at it when you miss me, and I'll look at this one when I miss you." "Okay, Yashiro-chan." "I'll be waiting for the day you'll call me Nene-chan. Silly Amane-kun." "Desperate Daikon." And with that, they separated. A few weeks passed, and Amane didn't receive any texts from Nene. He heard news about a plane headed to USA crash, but he refused to believe that his beloved bestfriend was one of the victims. Nighttime came, and Amane was thirsty. As he went down, he heard his parents speaking. "How can we explain this to Amane? We can just immediately blurt out that his bestfriend died..." Is this true? "If the world turned back on you, what would you do?" Yashiro asked, making the black-haired boy smile half-heartedly, "I don't know." He sighed, leaning his back to hers. "Besides, it's not, as if the world hated me, I'm just really unlucky." He says as Yashiro frowns. "You're not unlucky, you know." She says, making the boy look at her.
