It was common knowledge throughout the wizarding world: the Gaunt's were the last people alive who could claim direct lineage from Salazar Slytherin, and also, they were quite mad. Upon the deaths of Morfin and Merope Gaunt, Voldemort was supposed to be the last remaining Heir of Slytherin. Nobody questioned it, not even himself. But unbeknownst to everyone, there was another bloodline; the Stone's. If Medusa Ivy Stone is used to one thing, it's secrets.
