As I was sitting on one of the benches in Central Park, I felt the wind ruffle my hair slightly, blowing a few snowflakes into my eyelashes. As I looked around, at all those happy people ice-skating, walking, and overall enjoying their Christmas I couldn't help but feel jealous. While they were with their family and friends, I had to sit here alone in the snow on Christmas eve to escape what would always await at home, and I knew by experience that I didn't want to be home on Christmas eve. As I sat there looking around, only shivering slightly, time passed by, and it was soon dark. Suddenly I felt a light tap on my shoulder, realizing that I had been zoning out. "Hi... Uuuh- I brought you some hot chocolate?" - When two people meet, through the kindness of Christmas, a whole new bond begins.
