Parenting had once been Arthur and Abigail's favorite part of life. Not anymore, though. They missed it. They missed him, dearly, every second of every hour. With the couple's past and how much they had to hide, Abigail had never even considered adoption a viable option. But alas, her husband's heart was big and cozy. Austin and Blaze had been all alone in their own ways. It wasn't hard for them to nestle in there. After that, it was a matter of time until the family kept expanding. They became a part of him too fast, and any part of him was hers to protect. Rewrite and continuation of the story I posted in my old account. Warning: disciplinary spanking of minors

Don't show fear. Don't attract attention. Don't forget who the monsters are. Those are seventeen-year-old Janneke's three rules to surviving in the Permafrost. Her family is dead, her village burned to the ground, and now she's a slave in a court of merciless goblins. Though her master, Soren, offers her a small sphere of protection, it comes at the cost of abandoning humanity and their ways for good. When the Goblin King is defeated in a fight, it ignites an ancient competition to become the next King. The goal is simple: kill the sacred White Stag before the other goblins kill you. Soren sees it as the perfect opportunity to shape Janneke's acceptance of the goblins' way and give in to the hatred and violence festering inside of her. Janneke's only hope for survival is to outrun, outfight, and out-kill every creature in her path, all the while dealing with Soren, whose fierce desire for her to be a goblin is shadowed by his fascination for her human heart. Hunting the Stag is Janneke's best chance at revenge over those who enslaved her, but to succeed, she'll have to watch her humanity bleed out like the creatures she's sworn to kill. **CREDIT FOR THE WONDERFUL COVER GOES TO @seventhstar *** ***COMPLETED. [Wattpad Featured Story: Fantasy Hidden Gems] When we were children they whispered about beasts that hid amongst the shifting dunes, dark things with sharp teeth and loud howls and an insatiable thirst. Animals that gutted their prey and left intestines rotting in the sun and bones sprawled out across dried riverbeds. We listened with rapt attention and shivered despite the searing desert heat. But I'm not a child anymore, and I know better. The sand-dusted coyotes, the sleepy vipers-they're just animals, dumb and slow. I've met the real beast of the dunes, and he's nothing like they say. He wears the skin of a man, and the silks of a noble, and spins lies with a silver tongue sharp enough to make the earth bleed... And he holds my life in his blood-stained hands.

To him, every girl in this run down café looked stunning, they were a sight for itself. The style they had, the smiles and the variations of personality he could see, just in how they all carried themselves. But the second that she walked into the room; stunning didn't even come close anymore. She was beautiful. Anyone seeing her, would just glance and look away again, there was nothing special about her, at least that is what she kept thinking of herself. So she didn't take a second look at that man staring at her from across the room. He was as unimportant as a speck on a book in a library. Just another day of wasted minutes and holding her head low, pushing her black rimmed glasses up her button nose and pushing her blond coloured, way too long bangs out of her face. While waiting for her coffee on her way to university, she however didn't expect a single word uttered in her direction, hoping like every morning, to just go about her day with as little interaction as possible. But that didn't seem optional as a soft voice rang in her ears. She looked around, searching for the source of that sweet melody only to be met with gleaming green eyes, looking straight at her, seemingly waiting for a response. "E-excuse me, what?" She asked. "I said, i like your sweater. It looks cool." He smiled, showing a ray of white teeth. Grabbing his coffee from the counter, nodding at her once more before heading out onto the busy street.
