Everyone was very tired after a long mission but Jay instead on finishing his project in the lab on the Bounty. But when he leaves for a minute Lloyd walks into the room and sees what looks like a cup of water but really is one of the chemical potion thingy that Jay has been trying to invent but little did Lloyd know what it was and drank it just like plain water as it was transparent. A long time ago when the First Spinjitsu Master was present. A companion of his was there to protect him when he needed it the most and helped provide light to Ninjago, the place that the master created before disappearing. The guardian then decided that it was time to rest after serving its master. So, the guardian proceeded to a temple to rest and said these words, "The person who shall have my powers will be the guardian of the green ninja and its protectors. May the light guide you through your journey." At that, the Guardian of Light finally rested with his master leaving Ninjago to advance on its own and to hope that future heroes will protect what the two left for the next generation.

after nya, cole, zane, lloyd and master wu get cursed during a fight with a villain, they are sent to limbo. A place in between realms. Though it only felt like 10 minutes to them, when they return it's eight years later and their home is not what it once was. They set out to find Jay and kai. Finding Jay easily at the monastery. Only to learn that he was injured and couldn't fight while kai was fighting on the front lines. But front lines to what? And what was going on in ninjago!? The ninja have many questions for their blue friend who is willing to give them answers but even then, not even Jay can describe the disaster that has come of ninjago while they were gone to its fullest and they will be faced with the shocking truth of their new home.

One of which got bitten by an evil snake and had a son, who would become one of Ninjago's saviors. Anyone who lives in one of the sixteen realms knows this story. After all, it is a tale about their world's creation. But what if there was something more to the story?
