"Too much faith in a girl who's youth was wasted to be a weapon, little bird" Zelda Rain is fifteen years old and doesn't remember what its like to not be violent or consistently angry. She's had a tragic life full of betrayal, pain, anger and sadness, which sculptured her into turning to violence for comfort, and having others force her to become a living weapon. They preyed on her young age at the start, making her think it was okay to resort to violence, but then ditch her when she's no longer beneficial to their overarching plan. But what happens when a certain Boy Wonder thinks he can show her that not everyone will abuse her abilities like that. That not everyone is as hateful and disgusting as the people who hurt her in the past. What happens when a girl off the streets of Gotham is saved by a Robin with a promise to keep? Lyla has been alone most of life. She's never had family or responsibilities to ties her down. But as she's getting older life is getting harder, until one night sh get shot. Jason's been Robin for a few years now but part of him will always be a street kid. Years ago he made a promise to a scared little girl. A promise to protect her. A promise he failed to keep. Inspiration from: young justice, under the red hood animated movie, and titans as well as some elements from to many years of reading fan fic for these characters.

What happen when her blade meets his bullet in a not so charming first meeting?
