As the three siblings navigate through obstacle after obstacle, they're caught in events they should've stayed out of, learned secrets that should've stayed buried, played pawns in a bigger game. With all the complications and hardships, the final question comes down to this: how loyal are you to your kin and Clan? What's your greatest secret? ~~~ Rosefrost seemed to be following the path of countless warriors before her. Become an apprentice, have dreams of being the leader, promoted to warrior, teach an apprentice, find a mate, and have kits. Then her kits would repeat the process, and she'd live her warrior life until she and her mate were ready to retire into the elders den. Simple, right? Well, for Rosefrost? Not really. There was one little change that'd set the entire plan off. One little detail that shouldn't, but can, ruin Rosefrost's entire life. One little secret that was exposed to all five Clans at the Gathering. Life is hard. There's no "easy" plan that one was able to follow to succeed. What gives you power? ~~~ Venom had always felt so helpless. Growing up, her parents chose her littermate, Hemlock, as their golden child and cast her aside. She never had her parents' support. Along with that, she didn't like her birth clan, WarClan, nor the way her father, Rattlesnake, ran the clan. But what could she do about it? Not liking the government of WarClan were the least of her troubles. The cats she'd once loved and cared for, the only cats that had ever made her happy, were no longer in her life. They'd been snatched away from her so quickly she barely had time to register it. And, of course, she had no control over it. What could she do? Well, Venom ran away. She ran away from every failed attempt at starting a new life, travelling farther and farther from her birthplace, chasing one thing: control. She wanted control. She wanted power. As a looming darkness unfolds, Dawncurl will fall under the hold of her father. Adoring his praise, she goes to grave measures to ensure that she keeps it, no matter the consequences; even if it means hurting the cats that she loves most.
