Dream has always been manipulated since before the apple incident. In my opinion, canon Dream is a mary-sue, Nightmare is a victim who lives to show how good his brother is, and all of the endings fail, in my eyes, to tie up the loose ends in the story in a satisfactory way. Remember, this is just my opinion! Similarly, most characters depicted in this story vary slightly from their respective canons, this has been down to fit the story better. A book of Dreamtale oneshots I started writing in 2017 that gradually turned into an actual story by 2020. The writing isn't great at first but I assure you as the oneshots progress you will see improvement :) These are not Dreammare and no ships are made canon, however some are subtly hinted at such as Errormare.
