Eko is trapped in hybrid form, half-human half-butterfly. She lives in the imperial garden of the Zemor Empire with the crown prince as her only friend. But as she dreams of a life outside of the imperial grounds, her faith in her life-long friend begins to dwindle. During a 15-day banquet, Eko meets Ardor, a mysterious being in dark armor who only visits her in the dead of night. His company, his touch, his blunt but honest words drive Eko to leave behind the life she knows. She follows Ardor in search of the truth behind her hybrid form. But for every secret that Eko holds, Ardor has one hundred more. He is not the intimidating but kind man that Eko instantly fell for. He is not a man at all. cover by @lunaishi

[completed] Nova Carter knows exactly what the next few years of her life will look like: she will work harder than anyone else (as she didn't get into New York University to slack off); she'll be keeping her head down and prioritizing getting her affairs in order; and she'll ultimately make her parents proud by being the living proof of anyone with a disability being able to make their dreams come true. Little does she know that her carefully planned path is about to take a detour into the extraordinary. After all, she hadn't quite anticipated befriending the son of famous billionaire Sergei Macarevich on the first day of her orientation week, nor meeting the son of equally famous billionaire Hudson Wilder that same night. And she definitely hadn't anticipated tumbling right into the inner circle of New York's elite (disability, clumsiness, inexperience and all). As Nova navigates this new life, she finds herself forming an unconventional family around her. With her childhood best friend by her side, Nova immerses herself in the lives of her newfound wealthy friends, an exuberant roommate, and a spirited group of NYU's disabled rebels led by their eccentric counselor - finding love in forms she'd never dreamed of on her way. A romantic, heart-warming and diverse coming-of-age with a Spotify playlist and characters' social media posts. Andy was almost an adult now, not once in the past decade had she been entirely sober. This hadn't been a choice of her own; she didn't get many of those anymore after becoming a lasting resident in the Institute. She'd been permanently deprived of direct sunlight ever since her sixth birthday, on December 30th. Meanwhile, her best friend claims to speak with his deceased parents and the Keepers found her newest ally before she did. They've been forcing him to use his powers for their selfish winnings, cruel violations like this could go unseen since the Warden disappeared. Escaping the Keepers is one thing; they're still worlds apart from getting home - considering there's anything to come back to in the first place. [ NOTE ] I am currently rewriting this story! This is part of the first draft, so I am taking a break from updating this book until further notice.
