Jaylor alternate universe fan fiction. Taylor is an elementary school music teacher struggling in her personal life. No one around her knows quite how dark she's gotten, until one day she meets the eye of a tall, blonde, blue-eyed stranger who seems to be able to see beneath her fake smile.

To say Summer 2016 was monumental for Taylor would be a massive understatement. She met the love of her life, feuded with pop culture's biggest power couple, ended two highly publicized romances, dismantled her "squad", and dealt with lots of family drama. It's no wonder so many songs in her discography touch upon these themes. This story focuses on Taylor and Joe's love story but has other plot points. I tried to make it as accurate as possible, referencing song lyrics, things Tay/Joe have said in interviews, and known Taylor sightings. Of course, as this is a fanfic, take everything with a grain of salt- I'm just a swiftie head cannoning lol. Most importantly though, happy reading!!
