L'un d'entre eux la repère et lui ordonne de se taire, lui sauvant ainsi la vie. Alors que des mois plus tard, cet épisode semble oublié, un nouvel enseignant fait son apparition dans son lycée. Ce remplaçant n'est autre que le cambrioleur l'ayant épargnée cette nuit-là. Shayn, qui s'est exilé à Londres suite à une série de mauvais choix, se voit désormais confronté à June, témoin d'un passé qu'il avait laissé derrière lui. Pour s'assurer de son silence, il est prêt à toutes sortes d'intimidations. Mais June n'a pas l'intention de céder.
