Bucky Barnes is finally starting to get back bits of his past with the help of Shuri, but it is jumbled and unclear. As he attempts to sort them, he struggles to put the pieces together to get his memories back and see what, if anything, was good about the life he had wiped away from him. As his dreams start reveal more detail, Bucky thinks he recognizes someone he's just getting to know now. Is it actually a memory or is he is trying to put together something that was never there? Taking place after Captain America: Civil War, Natasha is on the run. She made a choice, and she must pay for it. What originally started out as a solo venture becomes something that she never would have expected. James Buchanan Barnes is back in her life, and neither of them knows what to do about it. Slowly, they make their way back to each other. But what happens when Natasha's unrevealed past, before she even met James, comes back to haunt her and those she cares about? This is a story about Buckynat, so don't worry, we'll always come back to that. But every chapter adds more. Black Widow movie spoilers become prominent in Chapter 15. I've always felt that there was something we weren't being told by the MCU in regards to the Buckynat relationship, so I decided to write what I thought was going through their minds during Civil War with a bit of a twist in the storylines as Bucky begins to remember Natasha and Nat tries to put the romance behind her when she believes all hope is lost. All characters and original storylines belong to Marvel and the MCU. I'm just altering them a bit to bring the Buckynat relationship ideas that I've had to life. After the Civil War chapters, there is a new storyline for Bucky and Natasha, so it won't be in accordance with the MCU events. Also, the picture I have as my cover was found on Google, so credit goes to whoever made that. I absolutely love it. :)

Surviving, that's all Natalia's been doing ever since she was a little girl. She's been forced to kill, punished, broken, and put back together. All to make her into the perfect assassin, a Black Widow. She wants to survive, but the only way to do that is to become what they want. However, that may be difficult when someone she thought was just a legend comes to train her and compromises everything she's been working for. This is the first book. Book 2 is already up.
