"This is from Jessheart12. She said 'you guys definitely have feelings for each other'" he read out. "Is that it?" I asked with raised brows "Yeah" he nodded "Well, despite what some of you might think. We're just friends" I waved my finger back and forth between us. "Only friends, nothing more. Right?" I looked at him for affirmation but instead, his eyes met mine with a longing stare that caught me off guard. He quickly snapped out of the daze and turned to the camera. "Uhm, yeah... Of course, we're just friends" "I mean, she's not even my type. No offence though" he said and let out an awkward laugh He didn't sound very convincing to me and I felt like the last part was unnecessary but I shrugged it off and joined in the awkward laughter. "Next, please" I called out ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yinka; a rich, London-based Nigerian Singer. Neye is a working-class university student. "Why can't you just let your guard down for once and trust me?" Karen demanded angrily. His dark eyes blazed at her statement. "What, did I hit a soft spot?" She continued sarcastically and he flinched. "Just be quiet." He ordered. She took a step closer, ignoring the way the air around them had suddenly became strained. "Why?" She whispered, her mocking tone only fueling his anger, "are you so afraid of people actually caring about you that you pull out all the stops to make them hate you? Because if so it's working." "You know, maybe I don't let anyone in because every time I do they always leave! Every. Single. One. They think they can fix the poor blind man, and leave when they realize it's impossible." He shouted, his veins straining against his pale skin. "I-" Karen started, but stopped when his cold voice interrupted her. "Just get out." #19 in Chicklit 10/13/17 #9 in Chicklit 10/28/17 [Description will soon change]

"I want you to look me in the eyes and tell me you don't want me." He says, his hot breath aggressively fanning my face from his harsh breathing, and I have to fight the urge to just lean in. "Tell me that these past couple of weeks meant nothing to you." He continues, but I don't say anything. "Tell me you don't have feelings for me, that you don't want me." His words are rushed, but his voice is laced in thick emotion. "Say it." He challenges me. Feelings were messy, complicated, hard, painful. That's why I shut them out. That's what I should have done in the beginning. I swallow the lump in my throat and against every fiber in my body, I force out- "I don't want you."
