Basically a Ranger's Apprentice short story featuring our favorite characters and a lot of emotions. Disclaimer: Most characters and events referred to belong to John A. Flanagan, author of the entire Ranger's Apprentice series. Is set after 'And About Time Too' in the eleventh book The Lost Stories. Headcanon story and could thus have happened.

This is a one shot that takes place during Rangers Apprentice Book 9 Halt's Perils. If you haven't read book 9, be warned this one shot does contain spoilers!

Will has gone through many tough things in his life. After Gilan calls him on a mission to a new land they have just discovered. Will goes missing.

He lives the low life in Gallica, making coin by performing tasks for others. When a messenger from Morgarath finds him in his home, Halt does not hesitate to take up the biggest offer he has ever received.
