Elizabeth was adopted by the Daae family when she was just 4 years old. After the death of Gustave Daae when Elizabeth and Christine were 10, his trustworthy friend, Madame Giry, takes both Elizabeth and Christine to the opera house, where she lives. The story starts the day of the performance of "Hannibal" and through a winding sequences of events, Elizabeth finds herself down in the catacombs. And soon, comes face to face with Him. Christine couldn't see past His deformed features, but Elizabeth could. She learned to see the man behind the mask. She saw that he was no monster. He was simply a broken soul, who was looking for any ounce of affection. Christine couldn't understand why Elizabeth cared for him so much. Things escalated quite quickly when Raphael, Raoul's younger brother, comes to the Masquerade Ball. The brothers seemed to always intervene when they are not needed. But, what happened after that dreadful night after Don Juan? After all- aside from the sleeping ballerinas and a few other people, there wasn't supposed to be anyone around. Much less, walking around... However, that doesn't seem to be the case. You are quick to be whisked away by a masked stranger. After he fixes you up and allows you to stay the night with him, a powerful friendship begins to spark between the two of you, and you soon become an apprentice to the ever-so-famous opera ghost. You seem to know more about the events in the opera house than anyone else does- Christine Daaé, Joseph Buquet, Meg Giry, and even her own mother. You seem to hold as much knowledge as the man who brought you there. All seems well for a while. The operas, parties, drinking, and love triangles continue on as if nothing happened... That is, until you realize that you're in love with that man clad in black. *** Note: This story begins at around the same time that the musical does - when managers André and Firmin first take charge of the opera house. I tried to stay true to most of the story line, but there will be a few minor changes.

The times have changed. Christine has moved on, Mme. Giry has left, and Erik has remained a hollow form. But when a young girl visits the opera house, it sparks a new flame that can not be put out.
