In a society defined by the system of Predator and Prey; two cities split the population. The City of Seekers and the city of Hiders. Each person born bearing a mark; red for hider blue for Seeker. Avalyn was born without a city claiming her. Out of fear her mother kept her true identity hidden. Everyday her mother painted a red mark on her. To the world she was a hider. To Avalyn, she longed to be a seeker. So she no longer had to fear being hunted by a seeker. And because she didn't carry a mark she thought had the ability choose which city she belonged too. But society had a different place for those without marks. After taking a new identity in the city of seekers Avalyn catches the attention Arden, Son of Kace and Leora; the rulers of the City of Seekers. No matter that attraction they both felt- Arden was one of the most notorious Seekers and even though she hadn't been marked as a hider; she once lived as one. And since she hadn't been marked as a seeker either she couldn't help but wonder what would happen if she had let Arden know the real her. ••• Im super excited to write this story!
