An AU where Espresso was raised with the Cookies Of Darkness. Since he was merely a child, Espresso's one and only desire was to prove his worth to Dark Enchantress, his mother. He and his siblings were taught to despise the Vanilla Kingdom and its inhabitants, sparking an endless war between the light and the dark. Madeleine is a paladin of the Divines, the Vanilla Kingdom's knight commander and savior, and almost immediately he is intrigued by the coffee mage on the opposing side. He is convinced that good exists in Espresso's heart, along with the hopes that he'll join them. A violent circumstance leads to Espresso being captured and held within the castle walls of the Vanilla Kingdom with no magic and nobody to help him. But of course, this was all but a great opportunity for Madeleine to persuade the stubborn mage into leaving the Cookies of Darkness behind. Against his liking, Espresso had no other choice but to play along for now. All he had to do was keep up the charade and not get attached. Two months after Espresso moves into the new kingdom, things start getting a lot more complicated. Espresso now finds himself in a position where he's dragged along as Madeleine's sidekick. Expresso wants a calm first year in college, but after he gets a roommate the complete opposite of him, his schedule isn't as organized as he would like it to be. He keeps trying to be friendly to Espresso and have some fun. But, maybe he should give his roommate a chance to be his friend? Maybe even more...

Little did Espresso know was that he would be moving near his cousin, Latte, and meet two new people, Almond and Madeleine, making a big impact on his life. One of them which he may or may not fall in love with. How will this movement go? How will these two boys form a relationship? Read to find out!
